Salvation is anchored in grace, rooted in God’s favor toward us in his Son, the Lord Christ. This book is a celebration of these exceeding riches of God’s grace toward sinners in Christ Jesus.

These are realities with which Christians need to be thoroughly acquainted. They are paths to walk so that we do not miss our way to heaven, nor fail to honor the Lord God along the way. They are central truths, humbling truths, saving truths, and comforting truths. Not least, they are God-glorifying truths, for the great end of our salvation is the praise of the glory of God’s grace. When God saves sinners, it reveals his wisdom and power, his love and compassion, his justice and truth, as nothing else. In Christ crucified, we are given insights into the gracious heart of God Almighty that can be found nowhere else. There his majesty, might, and mercy are on display, and there we find life everlasting.

When our faith is anchored in this grace, holiness and happiness take root in our hearts. Here sinners are liberated from condemnation, dread, and wrath. Here Christians are relieved of fear, confusion, and pride. Here we may find peace, certainty, purpose, joy, and hope.

With this in mind, Anchored in Grace provides a brief survey of the grace of God in Christ revealed in the Scriptures, tracing the arc of his saving dealings with lost men and women. It is by no means exhaustive, but rather sets out some of the fixed points in which humble faith can rest so as to exalt and enjoy God in all his saving kindnesses in his Son.

Walker replaces the acronym TULIP with words that also capture the truth of each point, i.e., instead of Total Depravity, Fallen is used; instead of Unconditional Election, Chosen; instead of Limited Atonement, Redeemed; instead of Irresistible Grace, Called; instead of Perseverance of the Saints, Enduring.This is a good introduction to the important teaching from God's Word describing God's amazing grace in salvation.

By Rob Natiuk I really like this series of science books for kids. You can tell the author has her heart involved in sharing the wonders of the universe with young readers. The illustrations are simple but colorful and well-done. However, I found the words hard to read as they are "fancied up" too much and the illustrations compete with them. I'd suggest simplifying them and making them as important, if not more so, then the illustrations.We learn about orbits, the Earth, our Sun, Jupiter and the other planets. Also the Asteroid Belt is in our Solar System. Perhaps on your e-book reader the words will be clearer. I hope so, as this is an intriguing and educational book.

He is on the spectrum and adores Temple Grandin. We are going to hear her speak in Sioux Falls next week and plan to ask her to autograph this book.

I am so pleased to find a children's book on her that I have purchased 20 copies to share with family, friends, and teachers working with autistic children. It tells parts of Temple's story in a kid-friendly manner while giving clear advice on how to handle the challenges that life on the autism spectrum presents.There are two typefaces used throughout the book, one for the story and the other for Temple’s words. When it comes to the rules, the book addresses the reader directly giving both the rule and advice for following them.Lynda Farrington Wilson’s illustrations take a little getting used to but suit the book perfectly. They are full of detail, illustrating Temple’s life, thoughts and dreams. If you have children on the spectrum, you will recognise the level of detail in these drawings.At the end of the book, there are some questions aimed at getting the reader to think about how they can fit Temple’s rules into their life goals.This book serves as an excellent introduction to this extraordinary woman and is a great starting point for helping kids with autism to get their life goals and actions aligned.

Mind-altering Stuff; a Breath of Fresh Air By ChakraTease Whether you think the writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the "Word of God", or you've gotten fed up with the very idea of God as promoted by religious institutions, you deserve to give Jesus a chance to explain his life in his own words. Why do I say YOU deserve it? Because until you read what he has to say, as a Westerner you have no idea all the ways you have been misled about who YOU are -- how entangled your self-concept is in the mythology that has been passed down to you through the centuries following Jesus passing on to higher dimensions. Although Jesus has been speaking all along to various people and small groups who are open to his words, the time is finally right -- due to a perfect storm of political freedoms, scientific understanding, modern communications technologies such as the internet, and societal disgust with fighting and wars, discrimination and judgmentalism -- for him to give the gift of this book to the world.Another reason the time is right is because the way has been prepared by spirit communications on a high level. There are many more people nowadays who have been exposed to such paranormal activities as remote viewing, psychic mediumship, automatic writing, and trance channeling. Many can now listen without fear that spirit communications are always from "demons" or lower-level spirits. From a young age I knew intuitively that the Bible could not have been the true word of God. My God is more loving, kinder, more compassionate in every way; this book teaches us that Jesus was human like us and dealing with a messy world which he overcame with study, meditation and true love for his fellow man. He teaches us that we can do the same and follow in his footsteps. I bought A Course in Miracles at least 10 years ago but never read more than a few pages--I just wasn't ready to absorb the wonders within. Now I feel ready to continue the true study of Jesus and his teachings because of this wonderful life transforming Autobiography. If you read it with an open mind it will change your life! Do it now--do it today!

He Never Left By Dana Taylor In an earlier era Canadian medium Tina Louise Spalding would have certainly been killed for blasphemy, heresy, and sorcery for daring to publish this material. I would have likewise met some hateful, grisly demise for simply reading the book. Fortunately, we live in more freethinking times.Written in the first person, Jesus covers his childhood and his travels from ages fourteen to thirty-three not mentioned in the Bible. Whether “true” or not, Jesus becomes a very human person: a curious boy, a dissatisfied youth, a seeker of adventure and spiritual enlightenment. He reveals his great love and subsequent marriage to Mary Magdalene. He comes across as a very spiritually evolved man with a message of Love that didn’t change the world nearly as much as he’d hoped it would. He challenges the established church and states much of the Bible was twisted to promote a political agenda. (He’s not the first to make that claim.)Mainstream Christian believers will be utterly uncomfortable with this Jesus, who denies his unique Divinity as the only Son of God. By Enrico Grafitti Given how the second novel in Fiona Quinn’s Lynx series, ‘Missing Lynx’, ended, I foresaw a potential problem with the author’s use of a first-person narrative in this one. Either there would be a major time-jump to allow her heroine to recover or it would be in danger of not being as fast-paced and entertaining as the previous two books. I’m glad to say I was wrong on both counts!The new novel, ‘Chain Lynx’, picks up immediately after book two and we live through protagonist Lexi’s recovery as she fights to regain her previous formidable abilities and skills. In the hands of a lesser writer, this might have been a different, less interesting approach, but Fiona Quinn is more than up to the challenge. She uses subtle inference and gentle tension almost constantly to keep readers turning pages as she lays out the foundation for the resolution of a story arc carried throughout these three novels. For lovers of pure action, though, there’s plenty of that too at just the right moments in the narrative to make the greatest impact.There were two developments in this third book in the series that stood out for me. First, the all-powerful Iniquus which served as Lexi’s safety net in the previous novels has a competitor, just as efficient and resourceful, and staffed too by ex-military special ops soldiers, but with a far less predominant moral and ethical outlook on how they do business which makes them a dangerous factor for the protagonists. And, finally, Lexi’s attack dogs get to bite someone!All in all a superb novel that offers the opportunity to learn more about the protagonist and her co-workers and ties up some of the on-going mysteries in the series. Bring on the next book! A great read for lovers of outstanding thrillers.

Author, Fiona Quinn has an adept ability to help readers see, hear and feel the surroundings in her novels. One doesn’t just engage with the character, but becomes a part of the character’s life. To understand this book, you have to have read the first 2 books. They are interconnected.I cannot even describe how amazing this book is. I would give it 6 stars if possible!!I received the book this morning on my Kindle and I have been reading all day, unable to put it down.Do not read further if you have not read book 2 (SPOILERS)Lexi has escaped the prison in Honduras and has crashed her plane. Her Iniquus team members have found her and transported her to a hospital as she is injured real bad. As you remember, she actually died at the end of book 2. Her pain and the descriptions of her condition are very authentic.It is clear Fiona Quinn has done outstanding research, I was awed at how intricate the plot is.Striker and Lexi are in love, but Lexi has to heal and must stay hidden because of her unknown enemies. I like them as a couple and would love for them to build a life together.This series has earned a spot on my keeper-shelf and I am looking forward to the next book.

The author would benefit from an editor as using the slang conjunction "kinda" does not belong in the text of a book that is supposed to be about science. The sentence structure is bad and with no source material you are just expected to take the authors word that what he is saying is true. There are much better books of this variety available from reputable sources that use appropriate citation.If you are looking for a source for a academic research paper this is not it as it is at best an opinion piece.

Interesting ideas poorly presented By Hans Maverick "The God Parasite" presents a whole host of ideas explaining,or at least purporting to explain, why religion is so universal among humans. Many of these are tired old canards often rehashed by non-believers who want to write theists off as simply ignorant or cowardly, e.g., "There were so many natural phenomena taking place all around the [sic] primitive man, which he couldn't explain. . . . Hence came fear." Toward the end of the book, Mr. Naskar redeems himself somewhat by presenting an overview of neuroscience that explains a host of allegedly spiritual phenomena such as out-of-body experiences, but the work of other writers like Andy Thomson and Pascal Boyer present much more coherent and credible explanations of the neuroscience and anthropology that drive religion. Finally, this book's stilted prose and poor use of references render it nearly useless.Summing up, buy this book only if you find it in the bargain bin at your local used bookstore.
