As a die-hard Harry Potter fan, I have been trying, with lukewarm success, to get him interested in the books. We read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone together, and while he enjoyed it, it didn't knock his socks off, as I was hoping. Enter Steve Potter into the picture, and the kid is eating it up, drawing all sorts of comparisons to the HP book and now we hope to have the Cave of Secrets available by the time we finish HP and the Chamber of Secrets so he can do the same. In his case, I'm just thrilled that he was able to find a book that keeps his interest and keeps him reading, and hopefully opens up the possibility to explore other, more traditional books.

I loooovvvveeeeddd the first book!!!!!!! :D It was very creative. They replaced everything in the book with something in minecraft that has the same characteristics.

My grandson asks me to check everyday!! He loves MINECRAFT and this book was the BEST!!! He says, riding on Pigs was hilarious and also LOL when a spider landed on Dooley and he peed his pants!! He Can't wait for MORE !!So, PLEASE GET WRITING MORE BOOKS !!!!!!!!
