About the Author RITA BROWN has six children, twenty-six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Brown has wide experience in teaching women's classes, retreats, and seminars, and has served as a lecturer on the Oklahoma Christian Lectureship program. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Midland Christian School, and has served as the president for ten years. Mrs. Brown and her husband, Dale, served as missionaries in Brazil and continue to travel extensively, often observing mission areas and encouraging missionary families. Rita and Dale have been married for fifty years.

It is a fictional story and the author's impression of what heaven might be like. This would be a perfect gift book for someone who might be grieving the loss of a loved one. It is written from a Christian perspective and has beautiful verses of scripture preempting each chapter.

Rita's great desire is to see her family, grandkids and great-grandkids celebrating in heaven some day. This story sweeps my mind and soul to that future hope we have in Christ--may it bless you like it does me.

Seriously, RIGHT NOW, please answer that for yourself.After reading Rita Brown's beautifully insightful book, I answer that question differently. I now envision Jesus standing beside me before the majestic and glorious throne of God saying, "Father, I have brought you someone SPECIAL."The power of this little book is that it caused me to focus my own thoughts of Heaven, God and Jesus. The author shares gently and winsomely, not forcefully or dogmatically, providing the reader ample space to consider his own perspective. Rather than interrupt the story flow with Bible references, 40 reference scriptures are provided at the back of the book revealing how the author's insight was shaped.Grab a second cup and take a moment out of the busy and immediate to consider how you may experience the first day of your eternal future.
