On her eighteenth birthday, Amanda has a dream that feels strangely lifelike. When Amanda recounts the experience to Melinda, the faithful housekeeper who has looked after her since her mother’s death, she assures her it’s meaningless, with no significance at all. But Melinda isn’t telling Amanda the truth.

Craig, the older brother of Amanda’s friend Hanna, has loved Amanda from afar for years. But a deep secret, going back centuries in time, keeps him from ever making a move.

When Melinda, who has a secret of her own, tells Craig about Amanda’s dream, it changes everything between them. Two vampires posing as men are pursuing Amanda, and Craig is devoted to keeping her safe. Luckily Craig and his sister are Hunters, the only supernatural creatures able to defeat the evil beings.

Craig and Hanna will do anything to protect Amanda, because they know that their friend has a special mission…even though she doesn’t have any idea of what’s happening around her or who she truly is.

An unusual paranormal read By Whispering Stories **I received a free copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review**My rating 3.5 stars - but Amazon don't do half stars. After having a surreal dream on her 18th birthday in which she is wandering through a desolate house, Amanda wakes up confused and wondering why it all felt so real.To celebrate her birthday, her two best friends take her on a surprise trip to the lake to have a private girly party, however they are not alone as two strangers are watching them from afar, noticed only by Hanna. After their party, Hanna seems to be acting strangely and doesn’t want Amanda to be left alone, unless she is at home, and tells her not to invite anyone in to her house. If it’s not Hanna accompanying her to places, it’s her quiet but lovely brother, Craig.Something is wrong and Amanda wants answers, but no one seems to want to tell her the truth. Will she every discover what changed on the day of her 18th birthday?"The Eternity Road" is a YA Paranormal story written by a début novelist. The premise of the book, a young woman with secrets so hidden that even she doesn’t know about them, thrown amongst a group of immortal hunters, she knows nothing about, is exciting. Add in the Vampires who need her and a few witches along the way and this is the perfect book for paranormal fans.I really enjoyed the book up until it started having flashbacks. Some of them, I’ll admit, were needed as the book wouldn’t have worked without them. Some however, really didn’t add anything to the story, and in fact I actually found that they distracted the focus away from the main plot. I didn’t really need to know all about the hunters’ past lives, and how and why they became hunters. This kind of information is best left either out completely, or written in a prequel. The main characters all had their own voices and characteristics, and all added depth to the story in their own special way. I particularly liked Ruben as this was a ‘man’ who had been around for a long time, and turns out he just wanted someone to love. He thinks that he may have found that perfect person, surprising even himself!Amanda is a strong, sassy young woman, but I struggled to connect with her. I can normally visualise characters in my head when I’m reading, but I couldn’t with Amanda, which was a shame as the story was all about her.The book ends without fully revealing all of the answers, but with a ‘To Be Continued’ as the final sentence, I’m sure that book two will fill you in on them.If you’re in to YA Paranormal books then this is something slightly different to your average novel. A good book which I was eager to read, but it didn’t hold me captivated, unfortunately – I would still need to read book two though, as I have many questions that I would like answering.Reviewed by Stacey on Whispering Stories Book Blog

By Danielle *** Received this as a free book for an honest review***First I must say, I don't generally read G rated novels, and seldom do I read YA, but I love the paranormal so I agreed to read it. That being said, I rated according to the book, the writing, and how I feel my teens would also fare with this book. Now of days with the paranormal being very sexualized, its great to be able to give young girls/boys something to read without worrying about content.Book ReviewEternity Roadby Lana Melyan4.8 StarsYoung Adult book with zero sensual content, great for young teens also! This book, I will not tell a lie, was a little rough the first half of the first chapter. It was choppy and felt forced to get to the point and destination of where it needed to be. Basically was trying to put a minor back ground, although needed, was hard to get through when you read as often as I do. This is why I took off a tiny bit. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised by the end of that first chapter that it became more fluid and easy to read. The dialog was much easier to read, and although young (teenage language) it had substance that was interesting. The story was continuous and allowed for a faster paced read. There was always something going on and I genuinely liked that.Story begins with a young girl who is dreaming vivid dreams. She is in this house that is empty that she calls the “dusty house”. Amanda’s mother died, it was just her, her dad and her caretaker. She had two best friends, Hanna and Kimberly, who she did everything with. Hanna’s ‘brother’ Craig was the guy she had an impossible crush on, but knew there was just no chance for her because he was just very distant although caring. It wasn’t long into the story strange things began to happen, vampires became real, people were able to heal at impossible speeds. The vampires want something from her…but do the people she cares about the most also want something from her? And if so, are they even her real friends, or just being kind to get something from her?The story unfolds in different times. Three different times to be exact, but it is done in a way that was easy to follow. It doesn’t jump all over the place. If you don’t like cliff hangers, this isn’t the book for you lol because it ends with the story beginning a new chapter of someones life. It’s like knowing a person just graduated medical school and received their residency paperwork. Ok, what’s next lol…but I like cliff hangers so I really liked her placement. Was a perfect spot to end the book. All in all, if a young teen / young adult is looking for a good book, this is a great start to a series. If you are looking for high romance, look elsewhere, but there is some kindling romance and its G. There is a minor kissing moment. All in all great beginning for this authors series!

By Samantha Received free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was a very interesting read. There was a lot of information to absorb as well, from the origin to the backstory of what’s going on.The way it was written, it sometimes felt like there was over exaggeration on how people were talking and walking. Example, a girl was walking with enough force that it looked like she was kicking people. That just makes me think she looked like she was marching military style or she was rearing her legs back and actually kicking. When there wasn’t over exaggeration though, the writing was good.In the beginning there was a little high school drama and it was a little slow to get going but when the drama stopped and the plot picked up, I was hooked, especially with one character that I had a bad feeling about.I really loved the fact that the author brought the readers into the past every now and again and I really never saw the ending coming. This ending is something that even if it was spoiled, I would still be surprised at how this all turned out.The cover is gorgeous, it’s very eye catching. I know if I saw this in a store, I’d look back at it and read the back cover so you see, it’s kind of a double edged sword on judging a book by its cover. The pace is a little slow but the plot takes some explaining so it’s rather appropriate and the characters take a little time to connect as well, at least for me, but it is emotional when you do connect.I would recommend this to people wanting to get into the vampire genre or are fans of The Vampire Diaries.
