By Ken Lee Everyone has some sort of stress in their life, if you don't take care of stress it will have a snowball effect. This book helped me overcome stress in many ways, first is understanding the different type of stress and what type of exercise I should do to immediately get rid of it. Some stress are self inflicted and this book help me recognize that. This book will only help if you actually apply what you learned, it will take willpower to undo bad habits, but it will be worth it.

By Stacey Swift I believe that confidence is what we lack that's why sometimes we feel anxious, get stressed with life. We cannot accept what has happened or do not like what's going on because of what we've started so in effect, we distress ourselves. Well, this book will tell us and make us understand that yesterday is gone and we cannot change it as it no longer counts any more.I loved what topics that Massimo has included in this book. He first tackled about managing stress which encapsulates the book's title. I agree with the author's advice to handle things that make us worry one at a time. By considering that the others wait until you get to them, you will be able to eventually get through the list and to deal with the stress more successfully. If you are able to do this, it is already a method that you can practice for the rest of your life to successfully handle stress.Overall, the book has taught me a lot of ways to overcome stress. In fact, I feel much more positive about life after reading it. Thanks, Massimo, for the optimism you've made me feel. I look forward to reading more from you.

The other problem is her weight and how in the space of a few weeks she lost a considerable amount due to her being happy. Well, she must not have had much of a conscience and ignores her lies.

By Amazon Customer I have bought and read hundreds (literally) Christian novels from Amazon and I have never felt compelled to write a review. I generally read the reviews before I order the book. I cannot believe that most people find this a good read. This woman so lacked in Christian values that I am surprised that the hero would consider marrying here after he knew the truth. I felt great sympathy for her life but she showed no concern for the feelings of others by lying to get her way. How did she think the Christian hero would feel when he realized he was in a bigamist relationship. All she cared about was how happy he would make her. I would never buy another book written by this author.

DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER STORIES I HAVE READ ABOUT THE WEST By Dorothy Hendrickson I wonder how many women were abused by a drunk for a husband and gained weight and suffered in that marriage until the day she died. I know of a few myself. Petronella took all she could from a worthless man who did nothing but drink gamble and sleep with other women, I would hope that other women would get out from this kind of abuse. It is good to know that even in a,story someone could have a happy ending from an abusive unhappy life.

Now She just gave us a granddaughter that turnedone last week. She asked for me to find the book, and we could not. We were flying out to see her and for the babies firstbirthday so I ordered it on Amazon before the trip. When we got there I got it out of my bag and you would not believe howexcited she was to see and have it again. They both read to the baby at her bedtime, so you can see that this great book has been passed down again and who knows, maybe again after Tara grows up.

By Lucinda I have to admit to shedding a tear or two when the most beautiful special collector's limited edition copy of Old Bear came through the letterbox, which brought back so many memories and nostalgia as I gazed upon the golden cover.The television series was something that I loved watching as a child as well as reading the stories, of the toys in the playroom from Duck to Rabbit and my favorite of them all the little bear with his red trousers. I have always loved teddy bears and used to read many stories about them whilst keeping my special bear next to me, who was a good friend that still is cherished today even though he has been moved to the cupboard. This captivating tale is one of friendship, love and fun that will delight as many children of today as it did myself in the nineties till now. Jane Hissey is not only a great storyteller full of creativity, imagination and originality but an accomplished artist whose stunning illustrations adorn each page of this wonderful book. This classic tale is one that is heartfelt, poignant and endearing that both children and their parents will want to re-read time and time again, as it is so universally loved having found a special place within all our hearts. The model animation television series was one that I took much delight in that brought Jane Hissey's stories to life before your very eyes, as those characters that one loved in her books had adventures on screen. Complete with a `scrapbook' of information, pictures and photographs on the author herself and the history of her books and the toys this truly is a book for any fan and teddy bear collector/ enthusiast as well as a most precious gift for a child. Seeing images of the original Old Bear toys made me quite emotional as I had grown up watching them and reading about their exciting adventures, hence being just as much loved today as they ever were. You are never too old to enjoy the simple pleasure that a Teddy Bear can bring; for the child who wants a friend to the collector of bears from Steiff to Boyds.I would like to thank the author for having her book as a giveaway on GoodReads, which I concider myself most privileged to have received. Old Bear is much more than just a mere children's storybook but rather a new edition of a classic, which has an extensive history from toys in the attic to television and sketches, and for any child within the twentieth century to be presented with something with such a history is quite special and magical. This book will be read to my nephews who like me I am sure will love the story and the group of friends who make this an adventure to remember, which can be followed up in other books such as Old Bear stories and my all-time favorite Little Bears Trousers (a tale that I loved so much as a child with my old copy now sellotaped together). The wonderful illustrations bring this magical story to life as well as make this edition an enchanting book to treasure, as something quite exceptional. I hope that Old Bear rekindles that love of toys that are simple in design; with a little stuffing and a button nose, but which outshine many gadgets and modern electrical toys of today thus making you want to climb a ladder and delve into those dusty boxes in the loft to find hidden treasures. This exquisite edition will sit alongside those old copies that have been with me for years on the bookshelf as they are now read to my family, with it bringing back such fond, happy memories that I shall never forget.

This is a sort of re-read, as I read the original book several years ago and have re-read it several times. This new version adds a lot of extra content and makes some changes.Jess Parker is the lowest of the low on the high school totem pole. A new kid to Mt. Sterling High, she has been bullied incessantly by mean girl Lexy Steele after taking Lexy's spot on the cheerleading squad. Unfortunately, Jess also happens to have a serious crush on Ryan, Lexy's hot older brother. Just when things look like they couldn't be worse, along comes an invitation to join a secret society of good-girls: The Cinderella Society. The Cindys sweep Jess into a social circle full of good vibes and makeovers...along with something much bigger: lessons in how to stand up to bullies and win.Like the first time I read TCS, Jess' voice is very engaging and sweet, and I had overwhelming frustration at the bullying and torture she suffered at the hands of Lexy. Despite the sugar-sweet covers and the fairy-tale name, The Cinderella Society, at its heart, is about how to be good to yourself and others, and how to make positive changes in your life when nothing seems right. It's a book that has stayed with me for years because of how empowering and motivational it is.The new version of the book - in three episodes, with extra content - emphasizes Jess' Christianity. This was interesting, but slightly jarring as a past reader. I think readers looking for Christian fiction will LOVE this book, but for me, it didn't add a ton. What did add a lot was the change in some of the Cinderella Society's makeover ideals - the original focused on power, but this time around, it's about image and branding. I thought this made a lot more sense for what the Cindys were trying to do, but felt it diluted the theme of power a bit.For those new to it, this is a book that still holds as much relevance for teens as it did when it first came out. It's inspiring and fun at the same time. Highly recommended for teens who need a self-esteem boost.

As the heroine Jess discovered, being in the Cindy Sisterhood motivates girls to break out of their shells and blossom into confidence. I even took notes from the tips in their secret manual. The encouragement and girl power is inspiring, and strengthened by Christian values. It's a fight between good and evil, and Jess is being fully prepared. I'm excited to complete my collection.

Too Slow for Middle Grade Readers By Emma the Bookworm Grade: C-This e-galley was provided by Bloomsbury and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Like I've said before, middle grade has been very hit-or-miss for me lately. Unfortunately, The Fairy-Tale Matchmaker was not one of the better ones I've read. Throughout the whole book, I felt very confused. There wasn't enough world-building - just many, many characters introduced - and the plot was much too slow for MG. It's mentioned in the synopsis that Cory takes up matchmaking, but that plot doesn't appear until at least 60% in. Most middle schoolers I know would give up if the plot took that long to develop. Also, throughout the entire book, I was very confused about the characters' ages. They talk a lot about dating and a school that sounds vaguely like high school, but most protagonists in MG are 11-13.Other stray observations, the sentences were a bit choppy. Voices weren't unique. I did like Cory's grandfather, and I wish we saw more with him. I also enjoyed seeing familiar nursery rhyme and fairytale characters. Plus, the Boogie Man actually boogies.The Verdict: Not at all what I hoped it would be. If you're unsure about The Fairy-Tale Matchmaker, I'd skip it if I were you.

Cory hates her job as a tooth fairy but the only family support she gets is from her uncle as no fairy ever quits the Tooth Fairy Guild. Nobody that is until Cory. Now she could use a good lawyer as the guild terrorizes her mercilessly trying to force her to take her tooth fairy job back. Cory is as stubborn as her mother and refuses as she takes any odd jobs from helping Miss Muffet deal with spiders to mowing the three pigs lawn. What she doesn't realize at first is the perfect job is right in front of her and her enjoyment of playing fairy tale match maker. First she has to deal with the TFG (Tooth Fairy Guild.)

I took the book from the classroom library, interested by the cover. The book was Once Upon A Curse. I took it home and read it in one sitting.I remember my Dad calling me from the kitchen: "It's dinnertime! Ria!" I, of course, was way too busy to do that. After all, I still had seven more chapters to go! Ever since reading Once Upon A Curse, I have been obsessed with E.D. Baker's books. She is an AMAZING author. The only book I have not read that isby her is Princess In Disguise. The reason I have not read it is the price. $16.99?! I'm sorry, but that price is outrageous. Although I LOVE her books, I'm going to wait until the library gets this book.The amount of my alowance is just to small for me to buy it.Anyway, this book, specifically is very good. I love Cory's personality, and how she chooses to help others to get money.

Medical astrology is incredibly complex. However, if we focus our attention on the biological and spiritual rhythms of the chart, this difficult avenue of interpretation can be simplified. The rhythmic cycles are the Moon's biorhythms and the solar chakras, and detecting them in the chart is a key technique discussed in this book. Depletion of these rhythmic cycles is a common occurrence. Today, the incoherent effects of the biorhythms and the chakras are often overlooked; however, their cyclic influences were frequently scrutinized by our ancient spiritual ancestors. Thus, ways to help the practitioner locate these powerful rhythms via the natal chart are explained; but more importantly the book explains why rhythmic depletion contributes to the onset of illness. The Moon's Nodes are also significant influences in medical astrology. Metaphorically speaking, the North Node symbolizes the karmic contract the soul agreed to honor in order to acquire knowledge, awareness and insight, and the South Node represents the knowledge the soul has acquired throughout its previous incarnations. In addition, the planetary rulers of the Nodes manifest ways in which the soul can successfully progress through incarnation under the matriarchal influence of the Nodes. It is possible that if the soul loses its footing in life the Nodes may potentially manifest as malign; after all, doesn't illness and disease occur when an individual is beset by major life challenges stumbling at these crucial junctures? Using the Moon's Nodes, her biorhythms, the rulers of the Nodes and the solar chakras as the focal points of the natal and decumbiture chart, this book explains, through numerous examples, how to successfully diagnose illness and disease.

Schmitt By Amazon Customer I definitely wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading It's A Wonderful Death, but I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. This book definitely was a pleasant surprise, and will appeal to a wide audience. This book is a mix of A Christmas Carol and Mean Girls, which come on...you have to admit, sounds pretty interesting. The plot of this book is extremely creative, and I absolutely loved Sarah Schmitt's writing style. It was the perfect mix of humor and lightheartedness, but never detracted from what the story was truly about.One aspect of this book that made the book so enjoyable was the setting and the plot. Not only was it extremely creative, but it had the perfect pacing and had a great balance of funny and serious. The portrayal of the Afterlife was hilarious, but so unique! There were so many aspects that made you laugh out loud, but also made you a bit frustrated because even the Afterlife isn't immune to the power struggle that is politics. But trust me, this made it an even more enjoyable read.As much as I didn't want to like RJ, I actually loved her character. Let me just tell you this, at the beginning of the book, you're really not supposed to like her, but throughout the course of the story, you end up loving her. She grows so much over the story, and it's like watching a tiny bud bloom into a gorgeous flower. She does a complete 360 by the end of the story, but never loses the things that make RJ, RJ. RJ was hilarious. I loved her sarcastic humor, as well as her gutsy, ballsy attitude. She definitely didn't back down when everything was against her. However, even though her commentary is filled with humorous moments, it's also pretty emotional. You see a clear shift when RJ realizes just how awful she was before she accidentally died, but also when she realizes how easily manipulated she was. RJ had to go through some major internal struggling to to accept how she behaved and what she needed to do to become a better person. This added another layer to the story, which pushed it from good to great! RJ never really had to become someone else, as she was always who she needed to be. She just got lost along the way, and with help from several people, RJ realized who she was meant to be all along.The supporting characters were just as great as RJ. Death Himself is a surfer that wears Hawaiian shirts; Azbaugh, who is an angel who is power-hungry and just wants RJ out of his hair; and then Madeline, who is quite possibly the sweetest person to ever exist. The one thing I loved about Madeline is how even though in RJ's previous life, RJ was terrible to her, Madeline never let that get in her way or let it put hate in her heart. She still tried to see the good in RJ, and helped RJ develop into the person she was always meant to be.This is the type of book that makes you think, even though you're laughing throughout reading. It makes you realize that every single thing you do can have a larger effect...one you might not even realize. Ms. Schmitt wove this aspect expertly throughout the story. After you are finished reading, you'll look back and realize that at it's core, this story has a clear message, and will leave an impression in your memory. This is the perfect book to read for anyone and everyone, and I highly recommend checking it out as soon as you can!Happy reading :)

RJ is a seventeen-year-old girl used to ruling her school, not being accidentally collected by a Grimm Reaper. When she gets stuck in limbo, RJ puts up one hell of a fight. But the question is, does a mean girl like RJ deserve a chance to reform?I found It's a Wonderful Death to be smart, sassy, and full of laugh-out-loud moments. RJ is an antihero readers can relate to. I found myself rooting for RJ while at the same time feeling disturbed by her past actions.There were also a lot of deep thoughts imbedded in the storyline but not in a way that's patronizing. One of my favorite lines comes on page 113: "Everything you do has a consequence. Good, bad, indifferent, there is always a price to pay. The question is: who pays?"Wrap that quote in witty one-liners, cover it in chocolate, and enjoy reading a wonderful book.

Can't say much without spoilers, but if you like YA fantasy with a touch of inspiration, you'll love this story. I loved Sarah's imagining of the players in the afterlife from St. Peter to Death Himself. Great redemption story!
