The Lightning and the Sun is Savitri Devi's magnum opus and one of the founding texts of post-World War II National Socialism. Written in Europe from 1948 to 1956 and published in India in 1958, The Lightning and the Sun sets forth a unique and stunning synthesis of National Socialism with the cyclical Traditionalist philosophy of history and Hindu mythology. Savitri Devi's goal was to create a new National Socialist religion. She aspired to be the Saint Paul to Hitler's Jesus. Paul of Tarsus took Jesus, who was a religious prophet and a failed political revolutionary, and turned him into a divine incarnation, creating a religion which served as the vehicle for the triumph of Jewish values over Rome. Savitri Devi sought to transform Adolf Hitler, who was also both a prophetic figure and a failed political revolutionary, into a divine incarnation-an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu-hoping to create a religion that would serve as the vehicle for the triumph of National Socialism over egalitarian modernity. In spite of its near-legendary status, The Lightning and the Sun is a notoriously hard to find book. The first edition consisted of only 1,000 copies and is quite rare. The 1979 Samisdat reprint is long out of print and also quite rare. The most readily available edition is William Pierce's dramatically abridged version, which cuts two thirds of the text and was not authorized or checked by Savitri Devi. The Savitri Devi Archive's new edition of The Lightning and the Sun reprints the complete and unabridged first edition and corrects its many typographical errors. It also updates the citations, adds a number of explanatory notes, includes a helpful Editor's Foreword, and provides a detailed index. With this new edition, which is edited and manufactured to the highest academic press standards, The Lightning and the Sun has finally found a worthy embodiment. About the Author Savitri Devi Mukherji (1905–1982) was the pseudonym of the Greek-French writer Maximiani Portas. She was the world’s most prominent post-World War II National Socialist philosopher, who combined her political beliefs with animal rights and ecology activism. Portas studied philosophy and chemistry, earning two Masters Degrees and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Lyon. She moved to India in 1932 to study the ancient Aryan Hindu religion, and succeeded in staying there after the war broke out by marrying an Indian national. After 1945, she travelled to Europe to distribute National Socialist propaganda in defeated Germany, for which she was arrested and spent eight months in prison. By the 1960s she had taken on a leading philosophical role in the post-war National Socialist movement, and met with its important leaders George Lincoln Rockwell and Colin Jordan. Her ashes are interred next to those of George Lincoln Rockwell in the memorial room of New Order headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

The Doctors of Revolution: 19th-Century Thinkers Who Changed the World, Shlomo Barer has a fascinating appendix where he traces the ancestry of Karl Marx. Barer discovered that Marx's ancestor invented a mechanical goblin creature let loose on the world.Shlomo Barer is an Israel author and his book is the inversion of the critics of the Jews. Basically, the Jews see the revolution Marx unleashed as the Holy Gospel, good news for the planet, and only the planet. With the destruction of everything sacred, when we no longer believe in what transcends, on the rim of life, when Gods absolute laws change into moral philosophies, sanctioned by till registers, then the gates are slammed on all humans and the animalization of our kids starts from birth.Of course, Barer sees this as good news and science is confirmation as our beastly nature. Barer sees Karl Marx as the Jewish prophet who's ancestor created a golum creature and Barer is hinting that Karl Marx is again inventing a golum. And what better time than now? With all this technology and medicine, then why not full blown materialism, a like that only ever shows us to be animals and death being a proven fact, what's wrong with you, its progress! If there is no after death state, then indeed why not? The Jews borrowed the after death from the Greeks anyway and with the success of materialism, are not the Jews right in going way back to their earliest writings where the soul doesn't exist? This is what Barer is hinting at with Marx releasing his mechanical creature onto the world of men.In the British library, 1870, sits an unknown and unloved intellectual by the name of Karl Marx; writing his masterpiece, Das kapital. Some 80 odd years later, a third of the human race is ruled by regimes that follow Karl Marx as their guiding light! This is unprecedented! No other historical character has had that much influence on the human race, let alone in such a short span of time. It feels like magic.Did Mephistopheles approached Karl Marx in the British library and did they strike a deal?Did Mephistopheles show Karl Marx images of a world with Marx, instead of Jesus, on the throne? The visions flip to the Russian empire, laid waste and conquered by people who call themselves, 'Marxists', and the icon of Karl Marx replaces the the Mother of God as the state religion! The devil takes karl Marx by the hand and the 20th Century is dripping with blood, and the devil says, "All is well".At first, this may sound, well, unbelievably mystical, and we know from the writings of Karl marx that he hated mysticism and superstition, but the material religion was in his name and he did change the world. So it is true, Karl Marx hated religion, but not in a Richard Darkins way. Dawkins will be forgotten the week he dies. This didn't happen to Karl Marx. And the success of Karl Marx has a supernatural element to it. More humans died under communism than under the Nazi's. So if Karl Marx wasn't sent by God, then it must be Satan. The writer, Richard Wurmbrand, wrote a little book that supplies plenty of quotes from admires and foes alike, and even from Karl Marx himself, that lend credence to his theory of Satanic influence. What other man was capable of starting a mass religion like Marxism? Karl Marx really was bigger than Jesus!Every scrap of writing, every utterance, the word of prophet Karl Marx had such weight for the believer, that when the Bolshevics got into power, they searched for Marx's opinion concerning the peasants. They found that Karl Marx hated peasants, so the Bolshevics exterminated about 50 million peasants! As for Karl Marx's hatred of Christ and religion, the Bolshevics knocked down the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the biggest Orthodox cathedral in the world, because this is the logic of Marx's 'opiate of the masses'.Karl Marx, who, remember, was sitting in the British library, only 80 years earlier, conquered China in spirit after death. What other man is capable, sitting in a library, of influencing China a few decades later? This is supernatural. The Chinese had an agrarian society for thousands of years and they lived happily. China was a bread basket. Sadly, when the Chinese Marxist's took power, they followed the command of Karl Mark to industrialize the country. The Chinese starved more peasants than the Bolshevics! Some numbers are close to 100 million. The Avatar was not far away. Some seven centuries earlier, Meister Eckhart, the German sage who attained enlightenment on the banks of the Rhine.Meister Eckhart, the philosopher of the National Socialists, said, "I am unborn"!In the 20th Century, in Bombay, Nisargadatta Maharaj said, "I am unborn"!This is evidence of a cosmic link between these great land masses, spanning thousands of years.Meister Eckhart espoused the same teaching to the German peasants as Nisargadatta Maharaj espoused to the seekers who came from all over the world to see him.Savitri Devi lived in Bombay, near the sage. This teaching is the same in Germany and in India. Only in Germany, only in India, is Vishnu felt. What Nisargadatta told Savirti Devi we can only guess.Like twin giants, Germany and india are forever linked. On the day Like two mountains, 1000 years apart, Lord Buddha and Adi Shankara are the twin giants of India. The third Avatar was to be born in Germany. This is the destiny of the world. There are many other parallels that confirm the twin brothers of Meister Eckhart and Hinduism, or Germany and India.Karl Marx, who came from Germany was the anti-thesis of Vishnu. This swastika was like a firework you shoot into the air in the dark. The Avatar forged His signature with the ancient symbol the god Krishna wore on the battle of Kurukshetra, 4000 years earlier. The signature, the eternal symbol, the swastika, was a beacon. Mephistopheles awoke to this, as was the plan for He who returns, the Avatar, who's very destiny is to correct the broken link beween Germany and India, sent the message out to Savitri Devi in India and told her to compose the Lightning and the Sun.Miguel Serrano also tapped into the stream. He travelled to the land of the gods to meet a sage. Some say this sage is himself an aspect of the divine. The divine will explain the avatar concept to Miguel Serrano.Like two mountains, 1000 years apart, Lord Buddha and Adi Shankara are the twin giants of India. Both doctrines of Lord Buddha and Adi Shankara's are One and the same. When Lord Buddha was born, Hinduism was stuck in empty ritual. Lord Buddha's Arya Satya was an attempt to reinstate the noble way, the way of the arya, and by defeating the rigid Hindus, Dharma was returned to the Earth.1000 years later, buddhism had degenerated into philosophical nihilism. Adi Shankara defeated the buddhist nihilists and Dharma was again restored.Only the wheel turns, at the centre, the final avatar sits ready in waiting. The one whom Miguel Serrano calls 'Brother of Silence', the blond maharshi, one Alfred Julius Emmanuel Sorensen, writes of India being near to the cradle of an Aryan race, a race which still guards our deepest treasures, our richest heirloom.Sunyata writes that he was born enlightened and not even Ramana Maharshi was born in that exulted State. Only the white gods are vouchsafed the honour of the unborn.Being born in Viking lands, but in the unborn state, the Silent Brother resides in India for years before Miguel Serrano is to sit in presence of Sunyata. The Silence is still here, now. Serrano witnessed the Silence in a human body but in many parts of the Earth, the great Silence can be found. Before his voyage to India, Miguel Serrano, crossing Greek waters, reasons that Adolf Hitler should had adopted the holy cross as his symbol. After all, what a political coup to use the cross as a force against evil.Miguel Serrano can be forgiven for this indiscretion, for a mortal mind can never know the cosmic forces. This is why an enlightened sage is essential. Sunyata will show Miguel Serrano the cosmic form.Like a man who got a strong hit of God-Consciousness, on his return from India, Serrono is different, for there is an urgency in the writings of the mature Miguel Serrano, like he was shown the cosmic vision Vishnu showed to Arjuna. All Arjuna could do is cry "No more"! "No more"! This urgency is in the mature Serrano.Miguel Serrano writes that Sunyata remained silent throughout their meeting. So what transmission, what message was given in the silence, hidden is parables and riddles, like clues for the last One yet to be born?
3 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Reprinted eBook - Terrible Publishing! By Sylvia Mckelvie This review is not regarding the content of Savitri Devi's brilliant book. I was surprised to receive this paperback copy, only to find that it is a reprint of an eBook that was typed from the original. There are many continuous spelling errors, the print is very small on large pages, and in general, the quality of the publishing is extremely disappointing, which detracts from the reading experience. For the cost of $40 USD on Amazon.com and $80 on Amazon.ca, I wanted to make sure that those considering purchasing know that this copy is NOT worth the price. Amazon.com did give me a full refund and was very helpful regarding that process.
