About the Author William Lane Craig is research professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology. A respected debater and the author of numerous books, including Reasonable Faith, Craig is one of the most influential defenders of Christianity today. Buy the Original Instead By JHF I have used On Guard as a high school textbook for apologetics; so I was hoping that this new edition "for students" would be a better version of the original. It is not. The opening chapter has been removed, which is a real loss, because this chapter defined basic terms like "apologetics" and explained why this subject is worthwhile. The new edition is just an abridgement of the first. There are no additions - study questions, glossary, etc. The original had ten chapters; the "for students" edition has nine. Also, the original edition is cheaper and includes Craig's personal reflections on his journey to faith. These reflections were included as interludes after every three or four chapters in the first edition but have been cut from the second.

Not unlike his previous book of the same title but this one is designed to be something to give away to a new believer or a non-believer. Meets the goal, no doubt. I already gave mine away... time to consider getting another copy! :)
