Sofia is a young princess who lives under the curse of an evil witch. The curse would bring great despair to not only the princess, but also the kingdom’s people, should she wander into the castle’s rose garden. The only ones that can reverse the spell are the fairies…but, no one knows their whereabouts! As long as she stays out of the rose garden, everything will be fine, right? Sophia knows the rules but, one day, a butterfly lands on her hand, trapped in the castle. Feeling sympathetic, she wanders outside to free it, and finds herself in the rose garden. As foretold, thorny vines sprout everywhere and begin to overtake the garden and castle. Everything seems to get bigger to Sophia and she realizes that she is shrinking. Before she knows it, she turns into a butterfly! When she’s told that the curse will be permanent should she fail to reverse the spell by nightfall, Sophia starts to worry. Even though being a butterfly is fun, she knows she can’t live like this forever. She’d never be able to see her parents again if she did! With newfound vigour, she embarks on a journey with a group of friendly critters in search of the fairies. However, dusk is approaching quickly…will she find the elusive fairies in time?

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Cute book for kids By Jessica Adams My kids enjoyed this story very much! It is a nice twist to the Sleeping Beauty story. The illustrations were very nice. My girls give it 5 stars. Being a children's book author myself, I do feel a few words were a little advanced for young children and they may not understand the meaning of some bigger words. Also, one or two sentences needed a little better sentence structure. Other than that, it was a very nice book.

My mom got me this kindle and I can get anything that my mother allows or is free and is appropriate for kids. I love adventure stories so this was perfect for a quick book before night time. This is a good book for kids like me or babies, toddlers and kindergartners. I would highly reccomend this book for kids who have trouble going to sleep.
