A gift, a blessing, a life-changing read By Shiri Dori-Hacohen Kim Nicol is an incredibly talented writer and meditation coach, who I have admired for a long time.I was thrilled to hear about her upcoming book, and couldn't wait to get my hands on it.I'm an ambitious career woman and hate books like "The Secret" with a passion, so I don't go for the woo-woo "think positive, everything will be positive" type B.S.This book is not that.This book is a gift and a blessing.In a time of rushing around and "infinite scroll to do lists" (a quote from the book.. and something I recognized immediately from my own life), this book is a gentle and loving reminder to love ourselves, to treat our bodies and souls with compassion, and to... just.... breathe. And smile. And enjoy the present.Kim Nicol takes me by the hand and walks me through her days, where meditation is a "spa for the monkey mind" and small moments constantly surprise and inspire.This book has already brought me to tears. Loving every word.I'm certain I will be coming back to this book for years to come.Live in the present, treasure your life, and buy this book.

That moment you get choked up when you seen an old friend you have really been missing By Adam Hesch This book is like re-uniting with an old friend you haven't seen in decades, who you wish you never lost touch with in the first place. Or like re-discovering your old, favorite book hidden on one of your bookshelves, covered in dust, that you can't believe you ever let yourself forget. Kim's writing is moving, powerful, gentle, strong, wise, caring, inspirational, calming, reflective, prescient, and present. I will be re-reading this book over and over and over again.

Her writing style is gentle, loving, and softly intimate, like you're chatting with an old friend over herbal tea. In sharing generously of her own experiences, she makes this a book that affirms our shared humanity while reminding us of our essential nature and better selves.I particularly appreciate the brevity of the book and its organization into vignettes you can read in less than a minute.
