10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Cards way too big - unless you want to use these as houses in the Grand Tableau! By Pgilly I love historical decks, and these are pretty and well-made, but these cards are huge, making them pretty unusable for larger spreads (or really, even in general). The box they come in is nice and sturdy, and the accompanying booklet has some interesting historical content. Even so, I am not using this deck due to its size. It's disappointing because if they were mini or standard Lenormand size, this would be a perfect deck.Update: I finally figured out a way to take advantage of the huge size of these cards. If you read the Grand Tableau with houses, you can set these down first in sequence, then lay your drawn cards via another deck on top of them. It actually works out pretty well that way. So I'm kicking this up from 2 to 3 stars.

It is larger than the traditional poker size, which for men having big hands and or arthritis, find difficult to handle. These are a pleasure to handle, done in subtle colors and absent of background clutter. I highly recommend them.
